Zia Alonto Adiong says safety should be considered over hospitality


In times like this, the Mindanaoan Poliltiko said it’s better safe than sorry.

Amidst the threat of a global pandemic hailing from Wuhan, China, Bangsamoro leader Zia Alonto Adiong recently told his followers that it’s better to place safety over the typical Filipino hospitality. On Twitter, the Poliltiko aired out his concerns on public health following the spread of the Novel Coronavirus.

“We have reached a certain point in our lifetime that public health safety takes precedence over Filipino hospitality. The usual expression “Better to be safe than sorry” couldn’t be more real than now”, he wrote.

Mr. Adiong is an appointed leader of the Bangsamoro region, and was the fprmer ARMM assemblyman.
