The Zamboanga City government is set to gradually lift the Sunday lockdown policy on June 27, Mayor Beng Climaco said Thursday, June 24.
The local chief executive said religious activities shall be allowed but limited to 30 percent venue capacity.
“Quarantine passes will not be a requirement for Sunday worshippers,” she said.
The mayor said groceries/supermarkets shall be opened to serve the frontliners.
Restaurants and food servers shall be allowed to operate but only for food deliveries and take out, she said.
“No dine-in will be allowed,” Climaco said.
Except for Sunday worshippers, health, Disaster Risk Reduction and Management and security frontliners, as well as those involved in emergency situation, she said all others are advised to stay home.
Zamboanga City remains under modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ), thus, stricter restrictive measures are in place to prevent and control the spread of coronavirus disease.
