The city government of Zamboanga has sent relief goods to earthquake-stricken areas in other parts of Mindanao.
The Philippine Coast Guard’s MV Bagacay loaded with initial relief goods from Zamboanga City local government has arrived Davao City Saturday, November 3, in time for distribution to families and individuals affected by the earthquake in Davao del Sur and North Cotabato.
The relief goods, consist of rice, canned goods, water, coffee, blankets and kitchen wares were turned over to the Davao LGU through Task Force Davao by the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Managenent Office (CDRRMO) personnel together with Office of Civil Defense Regional Director Manny Ochotorena.
The mission is also accompanied by PCG’s Commodore Joseph Coyme.
A magnitude 6.5 earthquake hit parts of Mindanao, the third powerful earthquake in about two weeks to strike the area. #
