The Zamboanga City government has distributed fish to various barangays as part of the local government’s relief assistance to families affected by coronavirus pandemic.
The local government, through the City Agriculturist Office, has already served 50 barangays as of Wednesday, April 22.
The distribution of the fish was done at a private wharf in Baliwasan for District I and at the Sangali Fishing Port for District II.
“The crates of fish are donated by the sardines and fishing companies in the city through the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) and distributed by the City Agriculturist Office,” the city government said.
It also thanked the donors for their generosity and for helping the people of Zamboanga in times of need.
