A Tacloban priest wants Filipinos to start 2017 with “AFP” – not the military, but with the right attitude, right foundation, and right protector.
Fr. Noel Lao, a parochial vicar of Sto. Niño Church in Tacloban, stressed this at the New Year’s Eve Mass, the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines said.
“It is important that we promote peace, especially in our family because peace begins in the family,” he added.
Lao said starting the day with the wrong attitude may lead to arguments.
He added the faithful should begin the year with God, who he said is “the right foundation.”
Meanwhile, he said Mary is the right “protector” because she “never abandoned Christ.”
