World Bank vows continuous support for BARMM – official

The World Bank has assured continuous support for the Bangsamoro government.

According to Bangsamoro Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Agrarian Reform (MAFAR) Minister Mohammad S. Yacob, World Bank Country Director for Brunei, Malaysia, Philippines and Thailand Ndiame Diop made the assurance during his recent visit to the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), particularly in Cotabato City.

He said during Diop’s visit, they discussed the implementation status and challenges of the ongoing projects in BARMM, through the Philippine Rural Development Project (PRDP), implemented by the MAFAR and Local Government Unit (LGU) and funded by World Bank.

“We want government services recognized by the people through the successful implementation of projects and programs in the region,” Yacob said.
