Tuloy pa rin: No break in postal services in Mindanao despite fighting

Despite the fighting that prompted the declaration of martial law in Mindanao, the Philippine Postal Corp. is not suspending work in its post office branches there.

The PHLPost said it will continue to accept and deliver snail mail except in Marawi City where military operations are still ongoing.

“Post Office in Marawi City remained closed due to ongoing military operations. Mail processing and delivery services for the areas of Marawi are being catered at Iligan City post office,” it said.

Postmaster General Joel Otarra instructed regional area directors in Mindanao to ensure postal services will be provided especially to evacuees.
