Valencia City Council extends renewal of biz permits, licenses until Feb. 20

The Sangguniang Panlungsod (SP) of Valencia City has passed a resolution extending the deadline for the renewal of business permits and licenses in the city from January 20 to February 20, 2023. The one month extension was made following the request of the Valencia City Chamber of Commerce and Industry Association, Inc. to Mayor Azucena P. Huervas and the SP members to “give them enough time to prepare and comply with the necessary documents and the corresponding amount needed to pay for the renewal of business permits and licenses to both large-and-small-scale businessmen operating in this city,” the resolution read.

Mayor Huervas OKs Valencia City’s P1.8-B budget for 2023

Valencia City Mayor Azucena P. Huervas has signed the P1.857 billion budget of the city government for 2023. Of the total P1,856,896,818 expenditure program for this year, P1,781,541,818 is for General Fund and P75,355,000 for Economic Enterprise, the city government said.

Valencia City Youth Development Office to unveil ‘youth hotline’

The Valencia City Youth Development Office (VCYDO) is set to launch a “youth hotline,” which can immediately respond to emergencies or queries involving the youths. The hotline will be unveiled on November 28 at Robinsons Place Valencia. The creation of a hotline is in response to a survey conducted by the VCYDO. The survey showed that some youths still do not know the numbers to be called during an emergency situation.

Valencia City youth office raises awareness on teenage pregnancy, HIV/AIDS

The Valencia City Youth Development Office has spearheaded a seminar regarding teenage pregnancy and HIV/AIDS awareness. The activity held recently was in accordance with Presidential Proclamation No. 115-A, s. 1996, declaring the month of September as Health Issues and Sanitation Month. With the theme, “Addressing Teenage Pregnancy: Working for a Brighter Future,” the seminar aims to call attention to and raise awareness among the key stakeholders and youth participants about teenage pregnancy and HIV/AIDS.
