Tawi-Tawi officials attend planning workshop on Bangsamoro long-term development plan

Representatives from the Bangsamoro government have conducted an orientation and planning workshop on the formulation of the Bangsamoro Spatial Development Framework (BSDF) with various agencies and stakeholders in Tawi-Tawi province. Board Member Abduljamil Ishmael and Secretary to the Governor Atty. Mardeeya Nuruddin, along with other board members and executive officials of the provincial government, welcomed the officials from the Bangsamoro Regional Land Use Committee (RLUC) and Bangsamoro Planning and Development Authority (BPDA) during their recent visit to Bongao.

VG Sali meets police, military generals in Tawi-Tawi

Tawi-Tawi Vice Governor Al-Syed A. Sali has welcomed police and military generals in the province. The provincial government said the visit of Police Lieutenant General Benjamin Santos Jr. and Marine General Ignatius Patrimonio on Thursday, February 2, served as a “testament to the commitment of the police and military in addressing security challenges in the area.”

Proposed Bangsamoro Electoral Code gets support from Tawi-Tawi

The Bangsamoro government has conducted a public consultation in Tawi-Tawi province on the proposed Bangsamoro Electoral Code (BEC). The recent activity for the Bangsamoro Transition Authority’s (BTA) Bill No. 29 aimed to involve all sectors—including the women, youth, and religious sectors, political parties, academe, Persons With Disabilities (PWDs), senior citizen groups, and other private sectors of the society in the Bangsamoro region—to hear their voices, insights, positions, and suggestions for an inclusive and participative legislation process on the said proposed bill.

LGU welcomes deployment of another marine battalion in Tawi-Tawi

The Tawi-Tawi provincial government has welcomed the personnel of the Marine Batallion Landing Team (MBLT)-7. Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer Hadjimar S. Matba, representing the provincial government, received the newly deployed military personnel. MBLT-7 has joined MBLT-1 and MBLT-12 under the supervision of the 2nd Marine Brigade headed by Brig. Gen. Romeo Racadio.
