The Davao City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) has advised again Dabawenyos against visiting the so-called “Mini Asik-Asik” Falls in Purok 9, Barangay Carmen in Calinan due to the risk of impending landslides. The CDRRMO has already restricted access to the waterfall and its vicinity due to the extreme and often sudden change in water movement of the Talomo River as well as the very high probability of a landslide due to soil erosion and loose rocks in the surrounding area.

Task Force Davao seizes P7M illegal drugs, smuggled cigarettes

The Task Force Davao has confiscated over P7 million worth of illegal drugs and smuggled cigarettes from January to October this year, an official said. TF Davao Commander Colonel Darren Comia said they have apprehended 215 people who attempted to smuggle illegal drugs, cigarettes, and firearms through the city’s borders.

Sa Singapore muna! Cebu Pacific restores int’l flights from Davao

Cebu Pacific is set to resume its international operations in its Davao hub, starting with direct flights to Singapore by the end of October. CEB said it is the first local carrier to restart international flights from Davao since the pandemic. On Oct. 30, 2022, CEB will begin operating three times a week from Davao to Singapore, every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday.
