CM Ebrahim cites importance of MILF fighters’ decommissioning

Bangsamoro government Chief Minister Ahod “Al Haj Murad” Ebrahim has reaffirmed the regional government’s full support for the decommissioning of former combatants of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF). Ebrahim graced the public launch of the Resumption of Phase 3 MILF Decommissioning held Tuesday, September 27, at the Old Maguindanao Provincial Capitol in Sultan Kudarat. The government and the MILF have agreed on the decommissioning of some 40,000 MILF fighters as part of their peace agreement.

Basilan agri office joins in coffee technology training

The Basilan Office of Provincial Agriculturist (OPAg) has participated in the coffee technology and value-adding training recently held in Digos City. The Bangsamoro Ministry of Trade and Tourism and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JIC) initiated the almost week-long program. During the activity, the participants were exposed to different coffee technologies starting from nursery up to post-harvest handling and processing.

The Bangsamoro government has hailed the attendance of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. in the inaugural session of the reconstituted Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA) in Cotabato City Thursday, September 15. The event was “another historic event” and even became “more remarkable” with the presence of Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) and Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) key figures—BARMM Chief Minister Ahod “Al Haj Murad” Ebrahim, Nur Misuari, and Datu Muslimin Sema. With Ebrahim, Misuari, and Marcos in one frame, this signified that for the sake of lasting peace and development in the region, all differences are being set aside and that peace and unity prevail.
