Rep. Flores provides rice harvester to Malaybalay irrigators

The Office of Bukidnon 2nd District Rep. Jonathan Keith T. Flores, through the efforts of Mayor Florencio T. Flores Jr., has provided a mechanical rice harvester to a group of irrigators in the city.

The P1.7-million new Kubota DC 70 Mechanical Rice Harvester was turned over to Malaybalay City Federation of Irrigators’ Association (MCFIA) recently.

MCFIA, represented by its president, Fernando Tubale, received the unit at San Martin, Malaybalay City.

“With its harvesting capacity of 3-5 hectares per day, it also provides our farmers comfort in operation and ease in maintaining their machines,” the city government said.

The provision of the havester, which was part of the congressman’s livelihood program, aims to increase income of the farmers through reduction of labor cost and servicing other farmers.

The mayor reminded MCFIA members to continue with their cooperation and unity, not just for the association, but also for all the farmers of Malaybalay City “so that we can attain additional food production for the people of Malaybalay.” #
