The Zamboanga City government has reminded the residents that quarantine passes (QPs) will continue to be used under the extended general community quarantine (GCQ).
“The use of quarantine passes will remain under extended general community quarantine, as the city continues to experience a surge in COVID (coronavirus disease) cases,” the city government said quoting the Task Force COVID-19.
While Department of Interior and Local Government Secretary Eduardo Año said that QP is no longer required under GCQ, however, he also gave the local government units the discretion to require QPs if local conditions call for it, the local government said.
It said that QP holders have the same schedule. QP A users are allowed to access essentials on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays while QP B users can go out on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. No QP pass will be honored on Sundays.
The city government also said that curfew hours from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. will continue to be enforced.
“Violators of the guidelines will be penalized,” it warned.
The Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases has included Zamboanga City under GCQ, similar to Davao City, Metro Manila and a few other places in the country.
