Pigcawayan VM Garcesa wants speed limit for all vehicles passing in his town

Pigcawayan Vice Mayor Eliseo Garcesa is pushing for the passage of an ordinance that will limit the speed of all kinds of vehicles along its major highway in an effort to stop road accidents.

The politiko said the proposed ordinance is now pending in the town’s Sangguniang Bayan and expected to become a law by next week.

The proposal, once enacted into law, will have a 40 kilometer-per-hour speed limit at the town center, starting from Buluan Bridge up to Barangay Tugoon.

The 15-kilometer stretch of the Cotabato-Davao highway has been a mute witness to a series of highway accidents since January that claimed at least 11 lives and injured a dozen others.
