Para sa bayan! S. Cotabato VG De Jesus braves 8-hr trek to far-flung sitio

How far will you go to serve your constituents?

A vice governor in Mindanao and his team hiked, drove up hills, and crossed rivers all day to deliver services to a remote village.

Not even an eight to nine-hour travel under the scorching heat of the sun stopped South Cotabato Vice Governor Vic de Jesus to deliver “serbisyong totoo” to the people of Sitio Bilit in Barangay Ned.

“Nawala ang beauty poise ng mga ladies? Even the young and sturdy men seemed to lost steam,” De Jesus said on his Facebook post. But he made sure that all the provisions for the residents were safe aboard horses and payloaders.

De Jesus and provincial staff gave food and slippers, and conducted a medical mission, among other things, to the families in Sitio Bilit.

“All members are very obsessed to serve,” he said.

Hope that all public servants are the same.
