The Department of Tourism (DOT) Region IX and the city government of Isabela is set to conduct a series of seminar and training for Isabeleños this month.
The activities are expected to promote Isabela City as a tourism destination.
According to Isabela City Tourism Office (CTO), the Eco-Guiding Seminar will be held on November 18-24 at Malamawi White Beach. This is open for all interested participants who wish to be accredited as official tour guides in the city.
A Tour Package Seminar to be held on November 18-19 aims to discuss various elements for tour operations, travel agency organizations, factors that affect costing, standard and rule of thumb, tools, skills, human resources needed to run the business and the tour package costing itself.
The Filipino Brand of Service scheduled on November 18-19 also aims to develop tourism workforce in providing quality services to visitors. This also endeavors at orienting the participants on the branded guests service in a genuine Filipino hospitality to tourists and visitors in the area.
For the Tourism Safety and Security Seminar on November 19-20, participants are expected to delve the essential role of safety and security in providing tourism success for Isabela City as an emerging tourism destination.
CTO said venue for the other seminars were yet to be announced.
It said the seminars are for free.
