Some 260 senior high school students in Tagum City will undergo internship program this month, the local government said.
As part of the program, City Public Education and Employment Services Office (PEESO) and Human Resource Management Office (HRMO) conducted an orientation about the Government Rules, and Professional Work Ethics to the interns Saturday, January 12, at the AVR, 4th Floor, New City Hall.
This is the third-year installment of the Senior High School-Work Immersion Program of the city government in partnership with the Department of Education- Division of Tagum City, PEESO said.
Under the program, Grade 12 students are deployed to different offices to undergo an 80-hour immersion to real work setting related to their specialization and basically to ready them as the future labor force of the country.
Former City Youth and Sports Action Officer Alderson L. Rellon graced the program.
“Happy kaayo ko nga gipili ninyo ang LGU para sa inyong internship. Let’s keep in mind na dili pa-braytay ang public service. Dili permi KSA (Knowledge, Skills, Attitude). Diri sa City Hall, ginapahinumduman ta sa atong Mayor Allan Rellon nga mag-una ang Attitude over Skills and Knowledge,” he told the interns.
The city government said that 712 interns have already rendered their immersion last November for the school year 2018-2019.
