Para di na magbaha! Isabela City to build flood control projects

In a move to address the perennial flooding in Isabela City, the local government officials led the launching of flood control projects Thursday, July 25.

“Engineers are to build drainage arteries in the surroundings of the oft-flooded areas that would lead rain waters to Isabela City’s coast to drain into the sea,” the city government said.

It noted that the residents have been complaining for years how some parts of the downtown could easily be inundated after every heavy downpour.

Among those present in the groundbreaking ceremony for the projects were Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman, Vice Mayor Kifli Salliman, and Basilan Rep. Mujiv Hataman.
