General Santos City Mayor Ronnel C. Rivera, who received a fresh mandate, called Wednesday for unity among the city residents now that elections are over.
The City Commission on Elections proclaimed Rivera as the winner in the mayoralty race, defeating three other candidates.
“The election has ended so let us unite as one and let us work hand in hand to serve what is best for Gensan,” Rivera said.
He thanked the residents in Gensan for supporting him.
Lawyer Loreto B. Acharon was declared as vice mayor, while Vice Mayor Shirlyn Bañas won the congressional seat.
