Over 300 Lanao del Norte residents get cash aid under TUPAD


The Lanao del Norte provincial government, along with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), has distributed cash assistance to over 300 workers under the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged / Displaced Workers (TUPAD) program.

Of the 326 beneficiaries, 186 came from the first district and received P3,650 each for rendering 10 days of work and 140 residents from the second district and got P6,000 each for 16 days of work, the local government said.

The implementation of TUPAD was through the initiative of 1st District Rep. Mohamad Khalid Quibranza Dimaporo and 2nd District Rep. Abdullah “Bobby” Dimakuta Dimaporo.

TUPAD is a community-based package of assistance that provides emergency employment for displaced workers, underemployed and seasonal workers for a minimum period of 10 to 16 days.
