Over 30 employees under CM Ebrahim’s office tested positive for Covid-19

Over 30 employees in the Office of Bangsamoro government Chief Minister Ahod “Al Haj Murad” Ebrahim have tested positive for coronavirus disease.

Bangsamoro Inter-Agency Task Force (BIATF) Spokesperson Mohd Asnin Pendatun said Wednesday, September 16, that out of the 299 staff of the Office of the Chief Minister (OCM) who underwent testing, 38 were positive with three recoveries.

He said the remaining 35 Covid-19-positive employees are in stable condition and are undergoing strict quarantine in an isolation center in Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao.

The Bangsamoro government also assured assistance to the families of the affected employees.

Ebrahim had ordered the temporary closure of his office for disinfection following the reported positive cases.

The OCM Building reopened Wednesday, but the employees are required to work under shifting schedules.
