Bangsamoro government Chief Minister Ahod “Al Haj Murad” Ebrahim has issued a memorandum, declaring as regular non-working holiday in the entire Bangsamoro region Thursday, October 29.
The memorandum, signed by Executive Secretary-Designate Abdulraof Macacua by authority of Ebrahim, said that the declaration of the holiday was pursuant to Presidential Decree No. 1083, otherwise known as Code on Muslim Personal Laws of the Philippines and MMA Act No. 17.
The laws recognize the observance of the Maulid un-Nabi or the birth of the Prophet Muhammad.
