Negative RT-PCR test result for travelers in Zamboanga City still a requirement – Mayor Climaco

Zamboanga City Mayor Beng Climaco has maintained as a requirement the presentation of a negative RT-PCR test result for travelers in the city.

This as the mayor issued Executive Order BC 626-2021 providing guidelines for interzonal and intrazonal movement of persons.

Pursuant to the updated Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) guidelines, medical certificate, travel authority and coordination pass are no longer part of travel requirements to Zamboanga City under the new EO.

“However, a negative RT-PCR test result remains a requirement for travelers given the unabated threat on COVID-19,” the city government said.

Among those covered by the RT-PCR test yielding negative result within five days from day swabbed include all Authorized Persons Outside Residence (APOR) coming home for rest, recreation or not official travel, returning residents, students and reviewees, and transit travelers to BaSulTa and ZamPen areas.
