Mindanao’s economic development is due for a major boost from a P129-million investment from a firm based in Polloc Port in Parang, Maguindanao.
Bangsamoro Terminal Services Inc., a company based in Polloc Freeport in Parang, was recently registered by the Regional Board of Investments.
Polloc Port facilitates access for bulk cargo in Central Mindanao, including Maguindanao, Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat and coastal areas in Lanao del Sur .
In turn, this will bolster the Mindanao Development Corridors, a development strategy seeking to make Mindanao industries more competitive via common service facilities.
The program will also prepare Central Mindanao for greater economic cooperation with the BIMP-EAGA and the ASEAN.
