Government troops have recovered three Indonesian nationals who were kidnapped by the terrorist Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) in Sulu.
The Joint Task Force Sulu said the three foreigners were recovered on Saturday afternoon, September 15, in Barangay Buanza Indanan town.
The task force did not give further details regarding the whereabouts of the victims.
The military has been conducting operations against the bandits, who were responsible for high-profile kidnappings in the country.
Last Friday, seven suspected ASG members were killed and six others were wounded in a clash with the military in Barangay Bakong, Patikul, Sulu.
One of the Abu Sayyaf leaders, Hatib Hajan Sawadjaan, was seriously injured in n the encounter.
