Military conducts outreach program in Cotabato villages

Over 1,000 people in Cotabato have benefited from the military’s medical and dental mission, Western Mindanao Command (Westmincom) said.

Soldiers from the 602nd Brigade and Team Jesus conducted the outreach program on April 17 and 18 in Carmen and Midsayap towns, respectively.

In Barangay Bentangan, Carmen, about 700 members of the indigenous community received medical and dental services.

The government troopers also performed circumcision procedures and distributed school supplies, biscuits, hygiene kits, slippers, and arrozcaldo.

In Barangay Arizona in Midsayap, the team also served 460 people.

“Your soldiers continue to support any initiatives that put primacy on the well-being of the people, especially the underprivileged. We continue to work alongside our partners to help the people of Mindanao, not only in terms of security but also in terms of socio-economic advancement,” said Lieutenant General Arnel Dela Vega, Westmincom chief, said.
