The military has condemned the bomb attack in a public market in Isulan, Sultan Kudarat, wounding seven individuals.
“We criticize and condemn the latest IED (improvised explosive device) attack in Isulan that victimized not only our forces who dutifully perform their mandated task but also the civilians who were in the vicinity of the explosion,” said Colonel Efren Baluyot, commander of the 1st Mechanized Infantry (Maaasahan) Brigade.
The IED exploded in a public market in Isulan 7:00 a.m. Saturday, September 7.
The seven wounded individuals were rushed to the nearest hospital for immediate medical attention.
Initial investigation showed the bomb was placed beside a motorcycle parking area and was purportedly carried out by lawless elements.
