Midsayap LGU urges workers in tourism sector to get Covid-19 jabs

The Midsayap Municipal government has launched a campaign encouraging accommodation establishments and tourist attractions to have their employees vaccinated against coronavirus disease.

This step is part of the goal of the local government to reach the herd immunity in the municipality, said Midsayap Tourism Division (MTD).

“This is a good development for the tourism sector so as to provide a safer and more convenient service to all guests and visitors,” it said.

Around 30 individuals working in the tourism sector in the municipality have so far been vaccinated. These individuals are working in the accommodation establishments, tourist attractions and resorts.

The MTD urged all other tourism-related establishments to coordinate with the Tourism Office to assist them with the registration and schedule of vaccination.

It also thanked the Rural Health Unit of Midsayap and the Department of Health in ensuring the safety of the people working in the tourism sector.
