Island Garden City of Samal Mayor Al David T. Uy has expressed gratitude to the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) XI for the livelihood assistance to some beneficiaries in the city.

DOLE Regional Director Randolf C. Pansoy recently handed three checks amounting to P6,385,600.00 to the local government led by Uy.

Barangay Sto. Nino received P435,600.00 for its livelihood program; Barangay San Jose, P4,955,000.00; and 4BMWD SLP Association, P1,000,00.00 for the African swine fever affected area in Talicud for mixed chicken raising.

Uy thanked DOLE XI for funding the livelihood programs of the two barangays and one association.
