Mayor Sayadi lifts ‘no movement Saturday’ in Cotabato City as Covid-19 cases under control


Cotabato City Mayor Frances Cynthia Guiani-Sayadi has lifted the “no movement Saturday” after the city recorded a substantial number of recoveries of coronavirus disease cases.

“The No Movement day on Saturday is hereby lifted and all regular commercial, industrial and day to day activities may now resume provided that minimum public health standards are observed,” the mayor said under Executive Order (EO) No. 376, which she released Wednesday, September 23.

Sayadi also lifted the 14-day period of localized quarantine in Poblacion 6 Wednesday.

“The number of confirmed cases is still rising but is now under control with consistent number of recoveries,” she said.

The local chief executive thanked Cotabateños for their cooperation.
