Mayor Sara sends rescue, medical teams to Odette-hit Bohol


The Davao City government has sent rescue and medical teams in Bohol province, which was devastated by Typhoon “Odette.”

Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio led Sunday, December 19, the sending off of personnel from the City Health Office, Davao City Central 911’s Emergency Medical Services (EMS), Urban Search and Rescue (USAR), Fire Auxiliary Services (FAS), Southern Philippines Medical Center doctors, and social workers from City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO).

“The delegation is headed to Municipality of Ubay, Bohol Province, for relief and rescue operations to our kababayans greatly affected by Typhoon Odette,” the city government said.

According to Bohol Governor Arthur Yap, at least 63 people died due to Odette.
