Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio renewed Friday, October 16, her call to Dabawenyos to observe the basic health protocols amid the rising number of coronavirus cases in the city.
The mayor specifically cited the various government offices where employees should practice physical distancing and the wearing of masks.
“There was a positive case at the Sangguniang Panlungsod Administrative Division so the City Health Office did not wait for the virus to spread, they (staff) were immediately told to work from home and then given a schedule for their swabbing so they can immediately go back to the office,” she said.
Duterte-Carpio also said that a number of Covid-19 positive cases was reported at the Hall of Justice.
According to the latest data from the Department of Health Davao Region, there were 2,512 Coivd-19 cases in the region with 539 active, 1,866 recovered, and 107 deaths.
