Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio issued Monday, April 27, an executive order extending the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) until May 15 to prevent the spread of coronavirus disease.
“It becomes necessary to extend the enhanced community quarantine to abide by the order of the National Government’s Inter-Agency Task Force for Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-MEID) Resolution No. 28,” the mayor said in EO 28, Series of 2020.
She said the ECQ shall be extended until 11:59 p.m. of May 15 or until sooner lifted.

The IATF has classified Davao City as among the “high-risk” areas, which should be covered by the ECQ, due to high number of COVID-19 cases.
