Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio issued Tuesday, December 1, an executive order consolidating all the issuances on the use of face shields.
Under EO No. 65, series of 2020, Duterte-Carpio cited the issuances of the Department of Transporation, Department of Trade and Industry, Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF), and Davao City Police Office (DCPO) that make face shields mandatory.
“There is a need to create a guide for Davao City residents where the use of face shield is mandatory and its basis,” she said.
Duterte-Carpio noted that IATF Resolution No. 68, series of 2020, mandates the use of a face shield with a face mask in the following places: supermarkets, public markets, malls, and in venues where government-initiated meetings and critical government services are being conducted or provided.
The Order shall take effect immediately.
