Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio said Monday that her regional party Hugpong ng Pagbabago (HNP) just wants to get the support of the various political parties to help the administration of her father, President Rodrigo Duterte.
Duterte-Carpio made the statement as her HNP forged alliances with nine other national and local parties in an event held in Paranaque City.
She said HNP was just “trying to unite everybody” who wants to assist the administration of her father until his term ends in 2022.
HNP led by Duterte-Carpio signed the agreements with Senator Cynthia Villar of Nacionalista Party, former Batangas Rep. Mark Llandro Mendoza of National People’s Coalition, and Capiz 2nd District Rep. Fredenil Castro of National Unity Party.
The Davao-based political party also inked deals with Norris Oculam of Alyansa Bol-anon Alang sa Kausaban, Zamboanga del Norte 1st District Rep. Seth Frederick Jalosjos of Aggrupation of Party for Progress, Ilocos Norte Gov. Imee Marcos of Ilocano Timpuyog -Nacionalista Party-Ilocos Norte Chapter, Pampanga Gov. Lilia Pineda of Kambilan, Atty. Nadya Emano-Elipe of PaDayon Pilipino, and Quezon City Vice Mayor Joy Belmonte of Serbisyo sa Bayan Party.
