Mayor Rivera tests negative for Covid-19

General Santos City Mayor Ronnel Rivera has tested negative for coronavirus disease after undergoing a seven-day mandatory quarantine following his exposure with a Covid-19 positive individual in a meeting last week.

Rivera reiterated his call to the residents in the city to follow the health and safety protocols to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

He specifically asked the public to wear face mask and face shield, wash hands frequently, follow physical distancing, and remain in their homes as much as possible.

City Administrator Arnel Zapatos, who was in the same meeting and had exposure with the Covid-19 positive individual, also tested negative from the virus.
