Mayor Rivera launches ‘Barangayan’ in GenSan after 2-year hiatus due to pandemic

The General Santos City Mayor’s Office-Integrated Barangay Affairs (CMO-IBA) has resumed its outreach program to various barangays in the city.

This was after two years of not being able to conduct the activity, known as the “Barangayan,” due to Covid-19 pandemic.

Mayor Ronnel C. Rivera and Rep. Shirlyn Bañas-Nograles led the Barangayan 2022 launch held recently at the Veranza Atrium .

With the theme, “Serbisyong Barangay: Pinagsama, kaka-IBA!,” the program aims to offer different kinds of government services to various barangays with the help of different government offices.

These include infrastructure and logical services, health and wellness services, regulatory and statutory services, education, scholarship, and advocacy, social services, employment, and entrepreneurial services, agriculture and animal welfare, and support services from event partners.

Rivera assured IBA that the local government will continue to support such endeavors.

The services will be extended to the different barangays in the city every Wednesday starting April 20.
