Mayor Rivera cites contribution of GenSan hospital for treating cancer patients

Mayor Ronnel C. Rivera led Sunday, December 8, the ceremonial groundbreaking of expansion of the building of General Santos Doctors Hospital (GSDH).

The ground breaking ceremony coincided with the 49th Founding Anniversary of the hospital.

According to the local government, Rivera acknowledged and recognized GSDH’s contribution to the health care industry.

“This is a huge contribution to address the needs of our cancer patients in the city and to provide them more quality care and comfort,” he said.

GSDH, which was founded in 1970, under the administration and pastoral expertise of the Sisters of St. Paul of Chartres, serves patients not only from Gensan but also from nearby provinces of South Cotabato and Sarangani. #
