Tagum City Mayor Allan Rellon led Monday, August 10, the turnover of school infrastructure projects in Nueva Fuerza Elementary School.
The projects amounting to over P500,000 were funded under the Special Education Fund of the city government, Rellon said.
The turned over projects include the construction of two makeshift classrooms, enhancement of the flagpole, installation of paving blocks, and construction of water and handwashing facilities.
“These series of school infra-projects turn over are the city government’s effort in making Tagum public schools student-ready once the face-to-face mode of instruction is resumed,” the city government said.
The Department of Education is pushing for a “blended learning” when classes start on August 24. There are no face-to-face classes to prevent the spread of coronavirus disease.
