Mayor Rellon spearheads distribution of food aid to MECQ affected workers

Tagum City Mayor Allan Rellon has led the sendoff ceremony for the distribution of food assistance to workers whose jobs have been affected by the closure of some establishments due to the modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) enforcement in the city.

Vice Mayor Eva Lorraine Estabillo and the city councilors brought the food aid in various barangays in the city.

The “ayuda” coming from the city government consists of one sack of rice and a bag of canned goods for each affected family.

Among those who personally distributed the goods to the residents were Councilors Ronald Eliot, Joseph Cabrera, Macario Bermudez, and Jan Dmitri Sator.

The food aid distribution is a function of Task Group Hatod Suporta, one of the five Task Groups created under Rellon’s Administrative Order 2020-03 that is part of the intensified Covid-19 response and prevention programs of the city government.
