Mati City Mayor Michelle N. Rabat has issued an executive order to increase vaccination rate against Covid-19 among the eligible population in the city.
“There is a need for a strong collaborative effort and collective push to save lives, reduce suffering and ensure a sustainable recovery,” the mayor said under her Executive Order No. 104, series of 2021, issued Thursday, November 4.
Rabat ordered the establishment of purok clustering vaccination sites, home visits to senior citizens and those with comorbities.
She encouraged unvaccinated staff members in the City Hall to get vaccinated as they will be referred to fixed vaccination sites.
Every barangay shall maintain an updated registry of its inhabitants with vaccination profile residents, the mayor said.
The local government will also forge partnership with business establishments, civil society organizations, and faith-based/religious organizations to ramp up vaccination coverage, the official said.
“The City Government shall provide performance incentives to barangays with significant support and exemplary accomplishment on the implementation of the vaccination program,” she added. #
