Mayor Rabat OKs incentives for human rights action officer in barangays

Mati City Mayor Michelle N. Rabat has issued an executive order prescribing guidelines for the provision of incentives for the Barangay Human Rights Action Officer (BHRAO) in every barangay.

“There is a need to establish rules and regulations for the provisions of incentives for the Barangay Human Rights Action Officer,” the mayor said in EO No. 91, series of 2021.

She said each BHRAO is entitled to receive P1,500.00 per quarter.

The incentives shall be sourced from the budget of the Office of the City Mayor (OCM) subject to the usual accounting, budget and audit regulations, Rabat said.

The initial disbursement of incentives will be undertaken by the City Treasurer Department, in coordination with the OCM.

The succeeding disbursements may be done on a quarterly basis.

The payment of incentives to each BHRAO shall be retroactive to January 1 this year, subject to the certification of concerned government offices that he or she rendered service for the period covered.

The EO, which was issued Monday, September 13, shall take effect immediately.
