Mayor Lagnada requires negative Covid-19 test result for Butuan City inbound travelers

Butuan City Mayor Ronnie Vicente C. Lagnada has issued an executive order, which includes the mandatory presentation of negative RT-PCR or rapid antigen test result when entering the city.

“To protect the city from the fast increase of Covid-19 cases thereby overwhelming the hospitals throughout the country, Butuan City now requires travelers from outside Caraga Region to present a negative test result,” the local government said Thursday, April 8.

Based on EO 11-A, the mayor said the negative test result should be taken within five days before departure and will be required before boarding any airplane, ship, or bus bound for the city.

“Thereafter, incoming passengers will be subjected to a free mandatory repeat RT-PCR Testing in LGU testing centers within 5 days upon arrival in Butuan City,” the city government said.
