Valencia City Mayor Azucena P. Huervas has graced the turnover of over P4-million warehouse unit for the farmers in Barangay Pinatilan.
Huervas expressed gratitude to the Department of Agriculture (DA) for assisting the city government in its support for the farmers.
“The warehouse unit costs P4.397 million from the DA-RFO10 (Regional Field Office) with a total area of 300sqm which was completed within 108 days,” the city government said.
The facility, which has a capacity of 252 tons, will be used to store rice grain seeds and meet farmers’ storage needs, it added.
The warehouse at Nutriland will be under the supervision of the City Agriculture Office.
