Mayor Huervas asks officials, staff not to physically attend meetings outside Valencia City


Valencia City Mayor Azucena P. Huervas has ordered all the city officials, employees and personnel to refrain from physically attending official gatherings outside the city amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Huervas issued Saturday, September 19, Memo No. 29-2020, to all city and barangay officials providing restriction from physical attendance to meetings, assemblies, conferences, trainings, and workshops outside Valencia effective immediately.

“Instead, everyone is encouraged to attend such meetings and assemblies online,” she said.

Huervas also encouraged officers, heads, managers and employees of national government offices and government-owned or -controlled corporations, as well as private companies and establishments, stationed in Valencia City to observe the same restrictions in order to avert the spread of Covid-19.
