Panabo City Mayor James Gamao has vowed to continue to support the welfare of the overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) in the city.
This was Gamao’s message delivered by City Information Officer Michael Angelo Resueño during the 1st Global OFW Panaboans Anniversary Sunday, July 22.
He said the local government of Panabo has always been committed in implementing programs for the welfare and protection of the OFWs as well as providing assistance to persons who aspire to work abroad.
He added that the social media has been an essential tool for the government to provide timely protection to the fellow Panaboans overseas.
Some local officials, such as City Councilor Dizon Namuag and ABC President Condrad Matutino were also present in the event.
