Mayor Flores wants more economic frontliners in Malaybalay to get Covid-19 jabs

Malaybalay City Mayor Florencio T. Flores Jr. has underscored the need to vaccinate against Covid-19 more workers in the economic sector.

Flores, who is also a medical doctor by profession, made the statement when he visited the City Vaccination Mobile team during a recent inoculation of 103 individuals comprised of market vendors and workers at the City Public Market.

With this initiative, the mayor said that he expects more workers in the economic sector to get vaccinated without having to fall in line at the designated vaccination center of the city.

“Since these priority groups are highly exposed to an area frequented by people and their customers, there is a need for them to get vaccinated,” he added.

Flores also urged the people to fully support the vaccination program and not be swayed by rumors and misleading information about the vaccine.

“We have the chance to protect ourselves, our families and the community, that is why everyone should get vaccinated once it is their turn,” he said.

The market vendors under A4 or frontliners in essential sector received the first dose of Sinovac vaccines.
