Mayor Flores imposes stricter health protocols as Covid-19 cases rise in Malaybalay City


Malayabalay City Mayor Florencio T. Flores, Jr. has ordered additional health protocols amid the increase of Covid-19 infections in the city.

“The Malaybalay City Inter-Agency Task Force, the Emergency Operations Center and the Incident Management Team for Covid-19 has strongly recommended the imposition of stricter protocols for some activities to minimize the spread of the Covid-19 virus anew in the City of Malaybalay,” the mayor said in Executive Order No. 172, series of 2022.

Under the EO, a city-wide curfew shall be imposed from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. But persons involved in emergency cases, including responders, are exempted from the curfew.

Serving and consumption of liquor and other alcoholic beverages shall be temporarily prohibited in all establishments and public places, except private residences.

The conduct of traditional cockfighting is temporarily suspended until further notice.

The mayor ordered the presentation of vaccination cards in all establishments, offices and businesses.

The movement of children 11 years old and below shall be limited only to accessing essential goods and services and for the purpose of engaging in outdoor exercises only.
