Kidapawan City Mayor Joseph Evangelista has witnessed the vaccination roll out against Covid-19 for pediatric group or the 12- to 17-year-old individuals in the city.
During the ceremonial vaccination held at Vargas Medical Clinic Friday, November 5, the local government said the first to be inoculated was a 12-year-old boy from Poblacion, Kidapawan City.
Quoting the city health officials, it said that the pediatric vaccination in the city is open to children whether they have co-morbidities or not.
The local government prepared 120 slots each in Vargas Medical Clinal and Kidapawan Doctors Hospital Incorporated for the pediatric vaccination using Pfizer brand.
Those who received their first dose received dressed chicken and rice.
Evangelista said the goods could somehow help their families, especially the parents who did not go to work just to accompany their kids during the vaccination.
