Kidapawan City Mayor Joseph Evangelista has led the turnover of a hauling truck for the banana farmers in the city.
“Ang mga bagong truck ay makakatulong hindi lamang sa ating mga magsasaka na maipagbili ang kanilang ani. Tulong din ito sa ating local food sufficiency,” Evangelista said during the event Tuesday, January 26.
He said the city government has earmarked P76 million to boost agriculture, fisheries, and livestock.
The recipients of the hauling truck belong to the Mua-an Farmers and Producers Multi-purpose Cooperative.
The new truck is one of the three vehicles that the local government promised to buy to assist the farmers.
